5K a year 12 days ago 12 days ago 12 days ago Summary The Improvement Association is seeking a Career Counselor that will coordinate with community partners to provide educational and employment training sessions/workshops to provide TANF participants, as well as individuals with income below 200% of the poverty level, with effective marketable employment skills.
Duties Additionally, this position will be responsible for performing job development tasks such as assisting participants in obtaining educational credentials and/or employment certifications and/or fulltime employment, provide counseling to participants regarding career, life planning, potential barriers to employment and/or self-sufficiency, attend meetings as necessary, conduct participant intakes/assessments, and meet with employers to discuss participants? progress to ensure quality performances.
Requirements ? Degree preferred ? Minimum requirement of completion of three college training courses with a concentration in the field of Education, Math, English, or related area.
? Knowledge of teaching, counseling, or tutorial experience with adults of low socio-economic backgrounds.
? Must possess good verbal and written communication skill.
? Knowledge of labor market requirements ? Must possess valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and good driving record.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
